Mindful Musings #21

It's a few hours before the state of the union speech will be delivered by Prez. Obama. Bits and pieces have been leaked and most of what he will say will be par for the course. What is interesting this time around is that the rebuttal speech will be given by a Republican and a Tea Party member. If this doesn't show the lack of unity of the Republican party I don't know what does!

Rep. Bachmann is delivering the Tea Party rebuttal. What is curious is that she is a Republican, elected member of the House of Representatives. Surely, this must give many main-stream Republicans pause for alarm.

Rush was blubbering today about how this doesn't matter and that it just shows how open the Republicans and Tea Party are. Give me a break! Better yet, give it a rest, Rushbo!

There is one more observation that I need to include in my blog today and that is a call to sobriety of speech and action. As a result of the recent killings in Tucson, and to show unity of purpose, the Congress is going to sit together, least of all many will be seated together without party affiliation. Naturally, the Tea Partiers refuse to sit with Democrats or moderate Republicans (if there are any left), but they are not alone. I find that humorous beyond belief for I heard that Nancy Pelossi refuses to sit with Eric Cantor. I daresay, I don't blame her...ah well, so much for solidarity.
