What a wimpy letter I wrote to Obama. I guess I was feeling the weight of the world from his point of view. Then again, I'm now angry at him. I want him to come out of the box fighting and he's for compromising. Sheesh! The reason he is not getting support is because he is not moving left enough. The pundits say he is moving toward the center. Well, the so-called center is really the right. I'd like to see him get on his bully pulpit and make some changes before the House takes over in January. Move us back to the left dear God!
It's been reported that several House tea-partiers are making demands on their Republican brothers and sisters (such as they are). One of the Reps. from Maryland bellyached that he had not received his House health care benefits (ie. government health care awarded to all of Congress) and that he had never worked for a company that forced its new hirees by denying them health care for 28 days. Hey, jerk, welcome to my world! The funny part of it all is that when he was running for that same seat he was pushing for the abolition of the health care law. Hypocrits!
Rand Paul suggests that Afghanistan was not an important issue in the last campaign. Hey Rand, tell that to the parents whose son just lost his life there! Oh yes, and how about the billions of dollars flushing out of our economy for Iraq and Afghanistan!?
McCain's against DADT and his wife is for it, well, in a way. He's got his diapers in a twist over his Repub. Tea Partiers' move toward wanting to cut the defense budget. Good grief, I agree with that! McCain, however vehemently disapproves.
Other than my frustration at President Obama and the Democrats, I'm going to delight in watching how the Republicans "handle" the wingnuts in their party. This is going to be interesting...yups, very interesting.
